Dee Bank Cottage

Dee Bank Cottage is in Llangollen, right by the river. It's a detached stone cottage. You get the whole place and garden to yourselves. The view from the back is straight over the River Dee.

It sleeps six, maybe seven if some are children. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. The stairs are normal house stairs, not too steep.

The kitchen is modern and has a dishwasher. There's a wood burner in the snug next door. The living room is upstairs to make the most of the view, with doors onto a small balcony. There's also a small terrace downstairs by the kitchen door.

There are a few pubs within walking distance. One good one is just over the bridge. The town has shops and cafes a short walk away.

For things to do, you can walk along the river path straight from the door. The Llangollen Railway is here in town. The Pontcysyllte Aqueduct is about ten minutes' drive away. It's high, so be aware if you don't like heights. Dinas Bran castle is a steep walk up the hill behind the cottage.

A bit further out, you've got National Trust places like Chirk Castle and Erddig, both within half an hour. Snowdonia National Park is about 40 minutes to an hour's drive for bigger mountains. Chester is about 45 minutes if you want a city day.

Facilities wise: there's parking on site, WiFi, a cot and highchair, and bedding and towels are included. No pets sorry.
