This is Macdonald Cottage. It's in Kirkmichael, which is a quiet village in Highland Perthshire. It sleeps three people in two bedrooms, with one bathroom. The whole place is on the ground floor, with no steps to get in. There's a double room and a single room, so it works for a couple or a couple with one child. It's got a 3 Star rating.
The cottage used to be the village bakery. It's on the main street and looks out towards the old church. It's been freshly decorated. The living area has a couple of comfy swivel chairs.
The village shop, which is also a tearoom, and the pub are both about a two minute walk away. There's a play area for kids nearby too. You can park your car in the private bay and leave it there if you want.
There are a lot of walks right from the village, from easy riverside ones up to moorland trails. For other things to do, Pitlochry is about 12 miles west. It's got the Festival Theatre, shops and a mainline train station. Blairgowrie is 13 miles south and is a bigger town for shopping. You're about an hour's drive from a lot of places: the Cairngorms, the Trossachs, Loch Ness, or Edinburgh. Closer by, you've got Blair Castle and Glamis Castle.
We allow one well-behaved dog. We provide bowls and bags. We ask that you don't leave the dog alone in the cottage.
The cottage has a washing machine, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's on-site parking. It's wheelchair accessible at the entrance.
