Macdonald Cottage
Macdonald Cottage is on the main street in Kirkmichael. It used to be the village bakery, a long time ago. It's all on one level, so no stairs at all.
It sleeps three. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, so it's comfortable and clean. We allow one dog. There's a parking bay right outside.
The village shop is a tearoom. The pub does food. Both are a two minute walk. There's a good network of paths right from the village, from easy riverside walks to longer moorland trails.
Pitlochry is about a 20 minute drive. That's where the Festival Theatre and mainline train station are. Blairgowrie is a similar distance the other way. Glamis Castle and Blair Castle are both within half an hour. The Cairngorms National Park isn't far either. You can get to Edinburgh in under two hours if you fancy a day trip.
We've got a washing machine, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. Because the cottage is on the ground floor, it works quite well for limited mobility, but the bathroom isn't specially adapted.
