Dalnaglar Cottage

Dalnaglar Cottage is on our family estate near Blacklunans in Perthshire. It's a detached house with its own garden and a deck. The view from there is the main thing, looking out over the glen. There's a stream at the bottom of the garden.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. Two of the bedrooms and the shower room are on the ground floor, which is handy. The stairs up to the third bedroom are fine, but they're typical cottage stairs, so watch your head. That upstairs room has its own small toilet and basin.

The kitchen has what you need. Dishwasher, washing machine, electric oven. The living room has a wood burner and a large TV. We supply the bed linen and towels.

Outside, there's a private hot tub on the deck. It fits six. You get parking for three cars. The estate is 200 acres, so you can walk straight out from the cottage. There's a private loch a walk away that some guests use for paddle boarding. You'll often see deer.

We allow up to two dogs. The whole estate is good for walking them.

The place is quite remote. The nearest shop, pub, or restaurant is about nine miles away in Blairgowrie, so you'll want to come with supplies. It's a mile and a half from the cottage down to the public road.

For getting out, you're on the edge of the Cairngorms National Park. The Glenshee Ski Centre is about a 20-minute drive for skiing in winter or walking in summer. You're also on the Cateran Trail walking route. For a distillery visit, Persie Gin is about 25 minutes away. Dundee is roughly an hour's drive, Edinburgh or Glasgow about an hour and a half.
