Dalnaglar Cottage

Dalnaglar Cottage is on a private estate near Blacklunans. It's one of five places on the estate, along with the castle. You're about a mile and a half off the main road, so it's quiet.

The cottage sleeps six. There are three bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. Two bedrooms are downstairs: one can be a twin or a super king, and the other is a single. They share a shower room. Upstairs is a twin room with its own toilet and basin. The stairs are fine.

Outside, there's a deck with a hot tub. The view from there is good. You look over fields and you can hear the stream. The estate is 200 acres, with woods and a private loch you can use. You might see deer. You can bring two dogs.

For getting about, you have private parking for three cars. The nearest shop, pub, or restaurant is in Kirkmichael, about nine miles away.

The kitchen has what you'd need: dishwasher, washing machine, electric oven. The living area has a wood burner and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them.

Location wise, you're on the edge of the Cairngorms. Glenshee ski centre is close for skiing in winter. For walks, the Cateran Trail goes through here. There's fishing and horse riding nearby. If you want a day trip, Dundee is about an hour's drive. Edinburgh or Glasgow are about an hour and a half.
