Easter Caiplich is a cottage on the Dalnaglar Castle estate in Blacklunans. It's about a mile and a half off the main road, so it's quiet. You're on the edge of the Cairngorms National Park.
It's all on one floor. Three bedrooms and two shower rooms. Sleeps five. They've given it a 4 Star rating. It's been refurbished and everything is new. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. The living area is open plan with big French doors.
The garden is enclosed, which is good if you're bringing dogs. There's a hot tub out there. The view looks over a duck pond and fields towards the hills. You'll see deer.
The estate is 200 acres. You can walk from the door. There's a private loch on the land which some guests use for paddle boarding. The Cateran Trail walking route goes through here. For skiing, Glenshee is about twenty minutes away by car.
The nearest shop and pub is in Kirkmichael, which is about nine miles. For a bigger supermarket, you'd go to Blairgowrie. It's a good base for hill walking. Dundee is about an hour's drive if you want a city day.
Two well-behaved dogs are allowed. There's parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. They can provide a cot and a highchair.
