Larch Cottage
Larch Cottage is in Kirkmichael, Perthshire. It's a terraced place next to our house, down a quiet lane. It sleeps three in two bedrooms, and there's one bathroom. It's a 3 Star place, so it's clean and has what you need but it's not modern luxury.
The main thing is the open fire in the living room. It's a proper old one, and it still heats the hot water when you have it lit. There's an immersion heater for when you don't fancy a fire. The stairs up to the bedrooms are quite steep. That's just how it is.
You can have up to two well-behaved dogs. The garden is just across the lane from the cottage and it's enclosed. There's also a small balcony off the living room.
Kirkmichael has a shop and a café about 300 yards away. The pub, which does food, is about 350 yards. The Cateran Trail long-distance path goes right past the cottage. You can join it from the door.
Blairgowrie is about 13 miles one way, Pitlochry is about 13 miles the other. Blairgowrie has a couple of golf courses. Pitlochry has the theatre and the fish ladder. Glenshee is just up the road for skiing in winter, or walking in summer.
For the facilities: there's a washing machine, TV, WiFi, and bedding and towels are included. We provide a cot if you need one. There's parking on site.
