Glen Hideaway is a log cabin near Kirkmichael, in Perthshire. It's got a grass roof so it kind of blends into the hillside. It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. Both bedrooms have their own bathroom, which is handy.
It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. It's a wooden cabin, so the walls are all pine inside. The main room has a high ceiling and a wood burner. The doors open out onto a deck and the garden.
The thing to know is the access. It's down a non-tarmac track through the woods. In the winter, that track can get icy or snowy. We're nearby if you get stuck, but you should be aware of it. A standard car is usually fine, but something with more ground clearance is better in bad weather.
The garden slopes up behind the cabin. There are paths through the trees. You'll see red squirrels and deer right from the window sometimes. It's very quiet.
Kirkmichael village is about a mile away. There's a shop and a pub there. For bigger shops, Blairgowrie and Pitlochry are both about 13 miles away, in opposite directions. They've got the usual things.
If you like walking, you can start right from the garden. The Cateran Trail is nearby. For skiing, the Glenshee slopes are a short drive. There are lots of golf courses around.
It has the stuff you'd expect. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring two dogs. There's parking next to the cabin.
