River Cottage
River Cottage is in Enochdhu. It's a detached place, on its own. There's a river right at the bottom of the garden.
It says it sleeps four. That's two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well-equipped.
The views from the front are fields and hills. Nothing in the way. You see deer in the field sometimes. Red squirrels turn up, and a lot of different birds.
It's very quiet here. At night, because there are no street lights, you can see an amazing amount of stars.
The stairs inside are a bit steep, just so you know.
There's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. A dishwasher and washing machine are there if you need them. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside.
You can walk straight from the door. The Cateran Trail is nearby for longer walks. The local rivers are known for fishing.
Kirkmichael is about three miles away. It has a shop, a couple of pubs that do food, and a petrol station. For a bigger town, Pitlochry is about ten miles. They've got more shops, a theatre, and the dam and fish ladder.
Blairgowrie is about fifteen miles. Glenshee ski centre is twenty miles away if you're here in winter.
Sometimes, if you don't want to cook, I can arrange for a home-cooked meal to be brought to the cottage. You have to ask in advance.
