The Wee Cabin
The Wee Cabin is on our sheep farm just outside Kirkmichael. It’s a one bedroom place, made for two people. You’ll be on your own, it’s detached.
It’s got a 4 Star rating. That means it's warm, clean and everything works. It’s open plan inside, so the living area, kitchen and bed are all in one room. There’s a separate shower room. The ceiling is low in the sleeping area, you have to mind your head.
You look out over the fields towards the hills. We get a lot of wildlife right outside: red squirrels, deer, plenty of birds. You’ll hear the sheep.
The village shop and a cafe are about a quarter of a mile away. The local pub is the same distance, they do food. For a bigger shop, you’d go to Blairgowrie or Pitlochry. They’re each about 12 miles away.
There are good walks from the door. You can join the Cateran Trail from the village. If you drive, you’re close to Glenshee for skiing in winter, and the Cairngorms are north of us.
It has a TV, WiFi, a washing machine, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, I’m afraid, because of the farm.
