Boreland Farm Cabin

Boreland Farm Cabin is on our farm just outside Kirkmichael. It's a detached wooden cabin, one of two on the site. It's elevated so you get a good view from the front. There's a wooden balcony out front where you can sit.

It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's small but everything's there. It's warm and works well.

You're on a working sheep farm. The fields around are a mix of woodland and grazing. We often see red squirrels, deer, and plenty of birds from the cabin.

The village is about a quarter of a mile away. There's a shop, a cafe, and a pub there. The pub does food.

For bigger towns, Blairgowrie and Pitlochry are both about 12 miles away. Pitlochry has the theatre and the salmon ladder. In autumn, the Enchanted Forest light show at Faskally Wood is popular. It's about a 20 minute drive.

The walking here is very good. There are waymarked paths from the village, and you're on the Cateran Trail. If you like cycling, the area is used for the Etape Caledonia event in May.

The Cairngorms National Park starts not far north of here. You can drive to the southern edges in under half an hour.

Facilities: there's a dishwasher, a washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right by the cabin and a place to store bikes. No pets, I'm afraid.
