Boreland Farm Cabin is one of two places on our sheep farm just outside Kirkmichael. It's a single storey cabin, so no stairs. It sleeps two, one bedroom and one shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well equipped.
The cabin is raised up on a bit of a bank. There's a wooden deck out the front with a table and chairs. You look over the garden and the fields towards the hills. We get a lot of wildlife here, you'll often see red squirrels and deer from the window.
You're on a working farm, so you'll see sheep and the occasional tractor. The cabin is detached, so it's quiet. You're welcome to walk around the farm tracks, just please shut any gates.
The village is about a quarter of a mile down the road. There's a shop and a cafe there, and a pub that does food. It's a small place.
For walking, you're right on the edge of the Cairngorms National Park. There are waymarked paths from the village itself, and it's part of the longer Cateran Trail. Pitlochry is about twelve miles away. That's where you'll find the theatre and the fish ladder. Blairgowrie is the same distance the other way.
Inside, it's got everything you'd need for two people. There's a small kitchen with a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. It has WiFi and a TV. There's parking right outside.
