Larch Cottage is in Kirkton of Glenisla. It's a lodge, not a cottage really. It's on its own, so no neighbours right next to you. It's above the River Isla. The water's clear here, it's nice to watch.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with double beds. Two bathrooms, both have showers. That's handy. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean. The living area is open plan with a woodburning stove. We leave logs for you.
You can bring one dog. There's an enclosed patio area out the front with a table. The back is just slope and trees, so you can't really sit out there.
It's very quiet. The nearest shop and pub are in Alyth, that's about a 10 mile drive. Alyth has a Co-op and a couple of pubs. You'll want to bring your food with you.
If you're here for walking, you're in the right spot. You can start from the door. For cycling or other activities, there's an outdoor centre about two miles away. You can hire bikes from them. For fishing, Loch Shandra is up the glen.
Facilities: there's wifi, parking, a washing machine, a cot and highchair. Bedding and towels are included.
Useful links for the area: Walkhighlands Angus and National Trust for Scotland at Glamis Castle. Glamis is about a 25 minute drive.
