Landberrick Farm Bothy 1
This is Bothy 1 at Landberrick Farm, near Mochrum. It's a detached bothy so you're on your own. It's in the middle of a working farm, so sheep and cows in the fields, tractors about, that sort of thing.
It sleeps two in one bedroom upstairs. One bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's quite small, but it's been done up nicely inside. The stairs are narrow and steep, just so you know. There's a wood burner in the main room which heats the place well. It has an enclosed patio out the back.
The village is Port William, about three miles away. It's a little harbour. You can walk down to the beach at Monreith from there, which is good. The main coast road is handy for getting about.
If you're driving, you can get to a few places within half an hour. The Mull of Galloway is the very bottom of Scotland, good for a drive out. Whithorn is interesting for the old priory. There's the Bladnoch Distillery if you like whisky. Golf at Port William and Wigtown. For a longer beach, Sandhead is about 15 minutes away.
For facilities: it has internet, a TV, dishwasher, parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
