The Cherry Tree

The Cherry Tree is in Piperhill, near Cawdor. It's a bungalow, so everything's on one level. That's good if you don't like stairs. The garden is fully enclosed, which is handy for dogs and kids. You get a decent view of the fields from out there.

It sleeps seven. There are four bedrooms and two bathrooms. One bathroom has a shower, the other has a bath. It's got a 4 Star rating. The place is clean and well-kept. The wood burner works well for chilly nights. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine.

You can take up to three dogs. There's on-site parking for a couple of cars.

Cawdor village is about a mile away. There's a shop there, the Cawdor Tavern for food, and Cawdor Castle is right there if you want a walk round the grounds. Nairn is about a fifteen-minute drive. The beach is good for a walk, and there are dolphins in the Moray Firth sometimes.

Inverness is about half an hour's drive. It's useful for a bigger supermarket or if you want to go to the cinema. Culloden Battlefield is on the way in. Loch Ness is roughly forty minutes south, past Inverness.

If you're into whisky, you're not far from the Speyside distilleries. The Tomatin one is the closest, about twenty minutes drive.
