Tigh Na Bruiach

Tigh Na Bruiach is in Auldearn. It's a quiet village. The house is semi-detached. It's a standard 3 Star place, so it's clean and warm but not high-end.

It sleeps four, two bedrooms and a bathroom. There's one bathroom and that's downstairs. You can bring a dog, just the one.

You've got a washing machine and towels are included. There's a cot if you need it. The garden is enclosed, which is good for a dog. There's a barbecue out there too.

The village has a pub you can walk to. For shops, you go to Nairn. That's about three miles away. It's on the coast, with a long beach. It's a proper sandy one.

From here you can get to a lot of places quite easily. Culloden Battlefield is about 15 minutes' drive. Historic Environment Scotland manage it. Fort George is maybe 20 minutes. Inverness is about half an hour. Loch Ness is a bit further, maybe 45 minutes.

If you like castles, Brodie and Cawdor are very close. The Moray Coast is good for walking. You might see dolphins from the shore.

For planning, the VisitScotland Highlands site is useful. For walks and outdoors, NatureScot has good information.
