Location is the main thing. You're right in the middle of Canterbury. You can walk to the Cathedral in a few minutes. The high street with shops and pubs is on your doorstep. It's not a quiet rural spot, you're in a busy historic city.
If you want to get out, Whitstable and its harbour are about 20 minutes by car. The beach there is shingle. Dover Castle and the White Cliffs are about half an hour's drive. Leeds Castle is about the same.
Facilities: parking for one car is included, which is useful there. Bedding and towels are provided. There's a pub very close by. No pets.
