Duckling Cottage is in Canterbury, just on the edge of the city. It's a terrace cottage that backs directly onto the River Stour. The garden gate opens onto a little bit of riverbank, which is yours to use.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. The rating is 4 Star, so it's comfortable and well equipped. The stairs are a bit steep, like most old cottages. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine.
It's about a ten minute walk into the centre of Canterbury. You're right by the river and the Westgate Gardens. The main reason you'd pick this place is for that river view out the back. You can sit outside with a drink and watch the water.
The cathedral is obviously the big thing to see. You can walk there. Canterbury Cathedral has all the visiting information. The Roman Museum is interesting if you're into that sort of thing.
Whitstable is about a twenty minute drive for the beach and the harbour. Herne Bay is similar. If you want countryside, the Kent Downs are within half an hour.
Facilities: there's parking for one car on the drive. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. No pets. There's WiFi and a TV.
