Lekido
This is Lekido, on the farm at Hickmans Green near Faversham. It's a log cabin on a working farm. It's detached, so you've got your own space. The garden is enclosed, which is handy if you're bringing dogs.
It sleeps four, but it's one open-plan room with a double bed and a sofa bed. Good for a couple, or a couple with two kids. One bathroom with a shower. It's a 3 Star place, so it's comfortable and clean but not luxury. There's a wood burning stove for heat and a bit of atmosphere. Bedding and towels are included.
You can bring up to two dogs. There's on-site parking. The internet is okay, but it's the countryside, so it can be patchy.
Being on a farm, you'll see and hear the animals. There are donkeys, sheep, goats, chickens, and a couple of farm dogs. If you're not used to it, a cockerel will wake you up early. The cabin is near the farmyard, so it's not remote silence, it's proper farm life.
Faversham is about three miles away. Good for shopping and pubs. The coast at Whitstable is about a twenty-minute drive. Seasalter and Shellness are a bit closer if you just want a beach walk.
For a day out, Canterbury is roughly half an hour by car. You've got the cathedral and the city centre. The White Cliffs of Dover are about forty minutes away. Leeds Castle is in the other direction, also around forty minutes.
