Granary Cottage

Granary Cottage is in Hanlith, about a three-quarter mile walk from Kirkby Malham. It's a single-storey cottage, converted from an old granary. It's part of a small group of old mill buildings on a private drive, so it's quiet. You share about eight acres of grounds with the other properties here, mostly fields by the river.

It sleeps two in one bedroom. There's one bathroom with a bath. It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything you'd expect is there. The layout is all open-plan downstairs, with the kitchen, dining area, and living space in one room. The bedroom and bathroom are off a little hallway. It's compact but it works.

You can walk straight out from the door into the Dales. Malham Cove is a good walk away, maybe 45 minutes to an hour depending on your pace. Gordale Scar is a bit further. For a shorter stroll, the local pub in Kirkby Malham is about fifteen minutes on foot.

By car, Settle is about ten minutes away. Skipton is about twenty minutes. Both have shops and supermarkets. The Yorkshire Dales National Park site is useful for planning walks. If you're interested in the Settle to Carlisle railway, check the official website for steam train dates.

Facilities: there's a dishwasher, WiFi, TV, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. One well-behaved dog is allowed. There's a small patio area with a table and chairs.
