The Bandstand Sea View
The Bandstand Sea View is a first floor apartment in Blyth. It sleeps six, but that's in two bedrooms and a sofa bed in the lounge, so it’s best suited for a family or a couple of friends. It's got a 4 Star rating.
The main thing is the view. From the living room you look straight out over the promenade to the beach and the sea. You can see right down the coast.
It’s about a two minute walk to the beach. There's a proper promenade for a stroll. The beach huts are along there. There's a park just behind the building with a big play area for kids.
For food, you’ve got a chippy and an ice cream place literally round the corner. Both are good. More cafes and pubs are a short walk along the front.
If you want to explore, you can drive up the coast. Seaton Sluice is a few minutes north. Whitley Bay, with the Spanish City dome, is about 15 minutes south. Tynemouth is maybe 25 minutes. It’s got the priory and a good market at the weekend.
Further out, within about half an hour, you can get to some of the big Northumberland sights. Alnwick Castle is about 30 minutes inland. The closest bit of Hadrian's Wall is probably at Heddon, which is also around a 30 minute drive.
The apartment itself has one bathroom. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher. Parking is right outside the building. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and a highchair. No pets, I'm afraid.
