Brier Dene Middle Cottage

Brier Dene Middle Cottage is on a quiet farm near Whitley Bay. It's one of three cottages in a row. It's for three people maximum.

There are two bedrooms and one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place. It's clean and comfortable. The beds are very good, made in the UK. The owner likes sustainable things, so the bedding is cotton.

You've got a small patio at the front that looks over the fields. The farm has arable fields and some Welsh mountain ponies. There's a wood burner inside for cooler evenings.

The facilities are what you'd expect: TV, dishwasher, washing machine, parking. Bedding and towels are included. There's bicycle storage if you bring bikes.

The location is handy. You're a few minutes' walk from a dog-friendly pub. The coast is about two miles away at Seaton Sluice. St Mary's Lighthouse is a good walk from the door. The Waggonways Cycle Path is right there if you want to cycle.

Whitley Bay itself is close. Tynemouth and Cullercoats are a short drive. Tynemouth has a priory, a good beach for surfers, and a popular Sunday market. Cullercoats has little cafes by the harbour.

For a day out, you can drive into Newcastle for the city stuff, or go up the Northumberland coast. Alnwick Castle is about a 45 minute drive north. Heading west, you can get to parts of Hadrian's Wall within an hour.
