Whitley Bay Hideaway
This is Whitley Bay Hideaway. It's a terraced house about three minutes from the beach. Sleeps six, three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a Four Star rating, which is accurate. It's well looked after.
The living room has a small desk with ethernet if you need to work. There's an electric wood burner effect stove. The kitchen is open plan to the dining area. The door goes out to a small enclosed yard. There's a seating area and an infra-red sauna out there.
It's on a residential street. Parking for one car off-road.
The beach is 200 yards away. Spanish City, the big white dome, is a short walk along the front. It's been done up and has places to eat and drink. Park View, the main shopping street, is nearby with independent shops.
You can walk along the promenade to Cullercoats and Tynemouth. It's flat. St Mary's Lighthouse is the other way. The metro station is in Whitley Bay, so you can get into Newcastle easily without driving. Tynemouth station has a weekend market.
Within about half an hour's drive you've got bits of the Northumberland coast, like National Trust Northumbria properties. Alnwick Castle and Garden is about 40 minutes. Hadrian's Wall is further, over an hour to the central bits.
Facilities: all the basics are included. Wifi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are provided. There's a cot and highchair. The entrance is level, no steps.
