Pebble Cottage
Pebble Cottage is in Tynemouth, just back from the sea front. It's one of a terrace of old fishermen's cottages, so the walls are thick and the rooms are a good size, but it's not a modern open-plan place. It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom.
It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's well looked after and comfortable. The bathroom has a walk-in shower over the bath. There's a small walled patio out the back with a table. It gets the sun in the afternoon.
You're a couple of minutes' walk from the seafront and maybe five minutes from the Metro station at Cullercoats. The Priory and Castle are about a half hour walk along the coast one way, or you can walk to Whitley Bay and the Spanish City the other way. Front Street with all the pubs and cafes is very close. You don't really need the car for most things.
Facilities are all there: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets, sorry.
If you're driving out, you're close to the coast road for Northumberland. National Trust Northumberland Coast has good information on beaches and walks. For local history, English Heritage Tynemouth Priory and Castle is the main site.
