Brierdene End Cottage
Brierdene End Cottage is in Whitley Bay. It's on a quiet farm. There are some Welsh mountain ponies in the field.
The cottage sleeps four. Two bedrooms and one bathroom. It’s got a 4 Star rating. It’s semi-detached, so there's another cottage joined on. You get your own enclosed garden.
Inside, it’s a mix of old and new. There are some local pieces of furniture. The main thing is the multi fuel burner. It’s good to come back to after a walk.
You can see St Mary’s Lighthouse from here. It’s about a half hour walk to get to it. The coast path is right there. The beach at Seaton Sluice is two miles away. Tynemouth beach is a bit further, maybe ten minutes in the car. It’s good for surfing.
There’s a dog friendly pub about half a mile away. It serves food. The nearest shop is two miles.
For getting about, you’re well placed. Newcastle is twenty minutes by car. You’ve got the Quayside and the Baltic art gallery there. Heading north, you can be in Alnwick in under an hour for the castle. Hadrian’s Wall is about an hour’s drive west. The Waggonways cycle path starts practically at the door.
Facilities: there’s parking, a washing machine, a dishwasher, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can take one dog. There’s a highchair if you need it.
