Westfield Farm Cottage Seaton Delaval

This is Westfield Farm Cottage in Seaton Delaval. It sits on our arable and beef farm. It's a detached bungalow, so everything is on one level, which is useful.

It sleeps six. There are three bedrooms and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean, comfortable, and warm.

The place is straightforward. There's a wood burner in the living room. The rear garden is enclosed, which is handy. Out the side, there's a small shepherd's hut. It's got a couple of chairs in it. It catches the afternoon sun, so it's a nice spot to sit.

You're on a working farm. There are chickens, horses, and some pet sheep. If you're interested, I can show you around and introduce you to the animals. Just ask.

For shops and things, you'll need to drive. The nearest pub is about a mile away. There's a bigger shop about a mile and a half in the other direction.

The coast is close. Whitley Bay and Tynemouth are about a ten-minute drive. They have good beaches, cafes, and promenades. The Visit Northumberland site has details on all the beaches.

Further afield, within half an hour you can get to Newcastle for the city, or head up the coast. Alnwick Castle is about 25 minutes north. The whole Northumberland heritage coastline is accessible from here, with lots of castles and villages. The National Trust looks after a lot of it.

In terms of what's here, the facilities list is accurate. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. The place is wheelchair accessible at the entrance. We take up to three pets.
