Little Crawfish Cottage is a three-bedroom cottage near Thursford, right in the middle of North Norfolk. It sleeps six.
It's a brick and flint place, about two hundred years old. It feels solid. You've got oak floors inside and a wood burner in the living room. It's got two bathrooms, with one being on the ground floor next to a bedroom. That might be useful for someone. The stairs are normal cottage stairs, so watch your head a bit.
The garden is a lawn. It's got a patio area and looks out over fields. There's a BBQ out there if you want it.
Inside, the kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside.
Thursford itself is quiet. The main thing here is the Thursford Collection, which has steam engines and things. If you're here in winter, the Christmas Spectacular show is about a mile away. The cottage gets decorated for Christmas if you book in December.
You're about a twenty-minute drive from the coast. Wells-next-the-Sea beach, with the pine woods and the beach huts, is eight miles away. The towns of Holt and Fakenham are ten minutes in either direction. Holt has the Gresham's school grounds you can walk around and some good shops.
For a day out, the Blickling Estate is about half an hour by car. It's a big National Trust place with a hall and gardens. Or you can drive to the coast at Blakeney to see the seals.
There's a local pub a short walk away. They do food. There's also a fish restaurant close by that gets good reviews.
This is a 4 Star place. It means it's well looked after and comfortable. No pets, I'm afraid.
