The Croft

The Croft is a converted barn near Seaton. It's a 4 Star place that sleeps four, with one king size and one twin room downstairs, and the bathroom is down there too. The stairs are a normal staircase, not a ladder.

The living area is upstairs. That's so you get the view over the fields. It's open plan, with the kitchen and sitting room all together. There's a wood burner, which is nice in the colder months. The beams are original. The garden is out the front, with a table and chairs.

It's a quiet spot. The nearest pub is about a ten minute walk. Hornsea is a three mile drive away. That's where you'll find the main shops, a few places to eat, and the beach. The beach is sandy. Hornsea Mere is good if you like birdwatching or a quiet walk.

Further out, you can get to Beverley in about half an hour. The Minster is very impressive. Spurn Point is a bit further, maybe forty minutes, but it's a unique bit of coastline. The property listing mentions Burton Constable Hall too.

For facilities: there's parking right outside, a washing machine in the boot room, WiFi included, and a cot and highchair if you need them. It's pet free. The bedding and towels are provided.

If you're looking for walk ideas or places to visit, the East Yorkshire Coast website has good information, and the National Trust for Yorkshire lists their local properties.
