Eldon Cottage is on Eldon Grove in Hornsea. It’s a semi-detached brick house, the third one along. It sleeps six people.
You’ve got three bedrooms. One of them is downstairs, which is a double with its own TV. The other two are upstairs, one double and one twin, and they’ve got TVs too. There are two bathrooms. One is a shower room downstairs, and there’s a family bathroom upstairs with a bath and a shower over it.
The living room has an open fire. We leave some logs for you to get started. The dining room has French doors out to a small enclosed patio garden. It’s paved, with a table and chairs. There’s a washing machine and a dishwasher in the kitchen.
The beach is about a five minute walk away. It’s a proper long sandy beach. The town centre is about the same distance the other way. There’s a Co-op, a few cafes, and some pubs that do food. Hornsea Mere is a big lake just south of the town. You can hire boats or fish there. The promenade is good for a flat walk.
If you drive, you can get to the Yorkshire Wolds in about twenty minutes. It’s good walking country. Beverley is about a half hour drive. It’s a nice market town with a minster and a racecourse. Further along the coast, Spurn Point is about forty minutes away. It’s a nature reserve on a spit of land. The RSPB site at Bempton Cliffs, for the seabirds, is just over an hour.
Parking is on the drive at the front. The garden is enclosed. We allow up to two dogs. Bedding and towels are provided. There’s a cot and a highchair if you need them.
