Charles House
Charles House is in Largs, on the Ayrshire coast. It's a big, plain house behind the main road, a couple of minutes' walk from the seafront.
It sleeps twelve, across five bedrooms. There are three bathrooms. It's rated 3 Star, so it's clean and functional. The living and dining space is open plan, with doors that fold back, which is good for groups. The kitchen is separate. There's a conservatory that leads out to a patio and a bit of garden.
The beach and promenade are five minutes away on foot. There's a large children's playground close by. For shops and pubs, the town centre is easy walking distance.
If you want to venture out, you're on the edge of the Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park for walks. Lochwinnoch RSPB nature reserve is about half an hour's drive. For a bit of history, you can get to Greenock for the McLean Museum, or down to Irvine to see the Scottish Maritime Museum.
Facilities are straightforward. It has a washing machine, towels and bedding are included, there's WiFi and a TV. There's no pets allowed.
