This is Strathclyde Cottage North. It's in Skelmorlie, on the Ayrshire coast. It's a detached cottage, so no neighbours attached. You get the whole place to yourselves.
It sleeps four, but there's only one bedroom. That bedroom has a double bed and a bunk bed in it. There's one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-kept.
The main thing is the view. You look straight out over the Firth of Clyde. It's a proper sea view. The living space is open plan.
There's a restaurant about 50 metres from the front door. For other places, it's about a 15 minute walk. There's a dog-friendly pub in the train station at Wemyss Bay, which is also the ferry terminal for Rothesay on Bute. There's another village pub in Skelmorlie itself, but it's a bit of a walk up the hill.
For getting out, you're right at the start of the Ayrshire Coastal Path. That's a long distance walk if you're up for it. The train station at Wemyss Bay has links into Glasgow. You can also get ferries from there to the Isle of Bute.
Largs is a short drive away. It's a proper seaside town with shops and a promenade. From Largs you can get a ferry over to Great Cumbrae. Millport is on the other side.
For days out, Culzean Castle and Country Park is about a 25 minute drive. It's a big estate with woods and beaches. Dumfries House is inland, about 40 minutes away. It's known for its furniture collection.
You can take two dogs. There's on-site parking. It has a garden or patio area. All the usual things are included: bedding, towels, WiFi, a TV, washing machine, dishwasher.
