This is the Boyd Apartment in Largs. It's a one-bedroom place for two people, with a 4 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and well equipped.
The apartment is on a street just off the main seafront. You're a few minutes' walk from everything: the beach, the shops, cafes, and the pier. It's handy, but it is a town centre location so there's a bit of life and noise.
You get a small private patio area out the back. It's a sun-trap in the afternoon. There's also a shared storage area if you bring bikes.
Inside, it's compact but it has what you need. A decent kitchen with a dishwasher and washing machine, a bathroom with a shower, and a comfortable living area. The bed is a double. We allow one well-behaved dog.
Largs itself is a proper seaside town. The promenade is good for a walk. The famous Nardini's ice cream shop is here. The ferry to Great Cumbrae leaves from the town pier, it's a ten-minute crossing. You can walk or cycle around the island from there.
If you want to go further, the ferry terminals for Arran and Bute are about a twenty-minute drive down the coast. The paddle steamer Waverley sometimes calls in at Largs pier in the summer.
For local walks, the Kelburn Estate is just outside town. For a bigger day out, Culzean Castle and Country Park is about forty minutes south by car. Golfers will know Turnberry is about an hour's drive down the coast.
Facilities are all listed, but to summarise: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher, bedding and towels are provided. There's on-street parking, which is usually fine to find nearby.
