Boyd Apartment is my place in Largs. It's a one bedroom flat that sleeps two. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it’s comfortable and well looked after. It's in the middle of town, so you can walk to everything.
You can bring one dog. There's a small patio garden out the back. The flat has a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included.
Largs is a proper seaside town. The promenade is two minutes away. There are shops, pubs, and restaurants all round about. You have to go to Nardini's for an ice cream, it's an institution. The ferry to Great Cumbrae leaves from the pier, it's a five minute walk.
If you want to explore, you're in a good spot. The ferry to Millport on Cumbrae is regular. You can get ferries from nearby to Arran or Bute. The Waverley paddle steamer calls in during the season. There’s good walking and cycling right from the door, along the coast or inland.
For a day out, Kelburn Castle is just outside Largs. Culzean Castle and Country Park is about half an hour's drive south, it's spectacular. Turnberry golf course is about forty minutes away. The Robert Burns heritage sites are scattered around Ayrshire, the nearest is maybe half an hour.
You can get the train to Glasgow from Largs station, it takes just over an hour. The bus links along the coast are good too.
