Strathspey is in Meigle, Ayrshire. It's a two-bedroom apartment converted from an old stable block. Part of a small group of places, but you've got your own patio and garden. It looks out over the grounds. You can see the Firth of Clyde and the islands from there.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms. That's handy. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean. The main house is a couple of hundred yards up the drive.
You've got 15 acres of grounds to walk around. It's quiet. The local pub is about two and a half miles away in Largs. Largs itself is a couple of miles. It's a proper seaside town with shops, a supermarket, and a station. You can get the ferry from there over to Great Cumbrae Island. Millport on Cumbrae is good for a day out.
The Waverley paddle steamer sails from here sometimes in summer, which is a nice trip if it's running. For sailing or golf, it's all nearby. There's a trout farm just up the road if you fancy some fishing.
Further afield, you can get the ferry to the Isle of Arran from Ardrossan, which is about a half hour drive south. Goatfell on Arran is a good walk if you're up for it. Glasgow is under an hour's drive if you need a city day. Loch Lomond is about the same.
Facilities wise: all bedding and towels are included. There's a cot if you need it. On-site parking. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
