Glenfiddich is an apartment in Meigle, near Largs. It's a single storey place converted from an old stable block. You're on the grounds of a Victorian house set back from the road, about 200 yards up a drive.
It sleeps three. There's one bedroom, which has a double bed and a single bed in it. One bathroom with a shower. It's a 3 Star place, so it's clean and functional. The space is open plan.
You can have one well-behaved dog. There's a patio area with garden furniture that's yours to use. The main house has about 15 acres of grounds and woodland you can walk in. The views from the grounds are good, out over the Firth of Clyde towards the islands.
The local pub is about two and a half miles away in Largs. Largs itself is two miles down the road. It's a proper town with shops, supermarkets, places to eat, and a train station. It's a seaside resort. You can get a ferry from there over to Great Cumbrae Island. Millport on Cumbrae is worth a trip.
From nearby Wemyss Bay you can get the ferry to the Isle of Bute. If you drive south to Ardrossan, you can get the ferry to Arran. The National Trust for Scotland looks after Goatfell on Arran if you're walking. The paddle steamer Waverley sometimes does trips from Largs too in the summer.
For facilities: there's parking right outside, a cot and a highchair available, bedding and towels are included, and there's a washing machine. It's all on the ground floor.
If you're driving, Glasgow is under an hour. Loch Lomond and the area around Ayr linked to Robert Burns are also within that sort of distance.
