Lochnagar Meigle

Lochnagar is one of the holiday apartments in the old stable block at Manor Park, near Meigle. It's about two miles from Largs. The main house is a few hundred yards up the drive. You get a patio area and there are fifteen acres of grounds to wander around. The view looks out over the Firth of Clyde towards the islands.

It's a one bedroom apartment, so it sleeps three. One bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable, not luxurious. It's open plan, so the living, kitchen and dining area is all one room.

You can bring one dog. We include bedding and towels. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. Parking is right outside.

The local pub is about two and a half miles away. Largs has shops, supermarkets, and a few places to eat. It's a proper seaside town. You can get a ferry from there over to Great Cumbrae Island. Millport on Cumbrae is nice for a bike ride.

If you like golf, there are two courses very close by. The famous Waverley paddle steamer calls at Largs in the season, which is a good day out. You can drive down to Ardrossan in about half an hour and get the ferry to Arran. The sailing to Arran from Ardrossan is a lovely trip in itself.

Further afield, you can get to Loch Lomond, Burns Country in Ayr, or into Glasgow in under an hour.
