Island Escape Millport

Island Escape is a ground floor apartment in Millport on the Isle of Cumbrae. It's a hundred yards from the water. You can see the bay from the front.

It sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's a 4 Star, so it's comfortable and has everything you need. Being ground floor makes it straightforward.

The apartment has its own enclosed patio if you want to sit outside. Inside, there's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. It's got a dishwasher and washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. Wi-Fi is there, and a TV.

You can bring up to two dogs. There's space to store bikes if you bring them. We can provide a cot and highchair.

Millport itself is small. There's a shop, a pub, and places to eat about a hundred yards away. The beach is sandy and just along the promenade. It's a quiet town.

People come here to cycle around the island, it's about ten miles. There's a local golf course. Walking is easy, mostly flat along the coast. The Marine Research Station has a small aquarium if you're interested.

For a day trip, Largs is the town on the mainland where you get the ferry from. It's about a thirty minute drive from there up to Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park. Or you can go south towards the Ayrshire coast.
