Howard Cottage

Welcome to Howard Cottage, this well-equipped property is the perfect location to explore Weymouth and surround. Located less than a 5-minute walk from the famous sandy beaches of Weymouth you will enjoy many hours on the beaches or making the most of Weymouth traditional activities such as the Punch and Judy show, donkey rides and historic sand sculpture museum. Stepping inside the property the cosy living room is located at the front of the property with Smart TV and comfy sofas. The dining room has seating for up to five guests. The kitchen is well equipped with electric oven, gas hob, fridge with freezer compartment and microwave. The rear door from the kitchen takes you directly in to the rear courtyard with access to a garden bench and table where you can relax after a day exploring making the most of the last of the summer sun. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms, one double and another with three single beds. The family bathroom has shower over bath, toilet and basin. This is an excellent location to enjoy Weymouth’s beach, historic harbour, shops, and many family attractions. There is world famous sailing on offer with the National Sailing Academy which was home to the 2012 sailing Olympics. Fishing, swimming, and boating are available locally, as well as coastal walking along Chesil Beach and Portland which are all part of the UNESCO World Heritage Jurassic Coastline. The property is also within easy driving distance of Dorchester, Bridport, and Abbotsbury, with it’s swannery and tropical gardens. With so many places to discover locally, you may not venture far, however a little further afield, you will find plenty of places to explore from the wonders of the New Forest national park to a fun filled day at Paulton’s Park. Parking for the property is located in the public car parks local to the property here you will have a permit for the duration of the stay and welcome to leave the car and explore. If you are arriving by train, Weymouth train station is located 3-minute walk from the property, this is the perfect place to jump on and explore further afield.
