Y Bwthyn

This is Y Bwthyn. It's a converted barn on our farm. We live here too, in the main house. It's for two people, one bedroom, one bathroom.

The place sits in the middle of the farm. We've got about 150 acres of cattle and sheep, so there are often animals in the fields around you. The views are decent. It's quiet.

Inside, it's a straightforward sort of place. The 4 Star rating feels right. It's got a washing machine, TV, and WiFi. The bed's made up when you arrive. The shower is a walk-in, all on one level, and you can get to the front door without steps if that's useful.

You can bring one dog. There's a bit of patio and garden for you, and a shed if you bring bikes. The parking is right outside.

The village shop in Tregynon is a ten-minute walk. For a pub, you'll need to drive a couple of miles.

If you want to go out, Powis Castle is about fifteen minutes away by car. The gardens there are good. Glansevern Hall is similar, and also close. You're not far from Welshpool or Newtown. Shrewsbury and Ludlow are both about a forty-minute drive if you fancy a proper town.

The area is mostly for walking or cycling. It's farmland and quiet lanes. There are a few golf courses nearby too.

Y Bwthyn is next to another cottage we have, Talog Barn. You can book them together if you're a bigger group.
