Meg's Rest

This is Meg's Rest. It's on our farm in Aberbechan, near Newtown. The farm is 155 acres. You're in the middle of it, so it's quiet.

The place is for two people. One bedroom with a kingsize bed, one bathroom with a double shower. It's all on the ground floor. The doorway and the shower are wheelchair accessible.

It's a new conversion inside an old stone building. We kept the beams. It has stone floors with underfloor heating, so it's warm. There's a kitchen with a dishwasher and washing machine. The WiFi works.

Outside, there's a wood-fired hot tub. It's just for you. You'll need to light it yourself, but we'll show you how. It takes a few hours to heat up. There's also a BBQ and parking right outside.

You're on a working farm. If you're interested, I'm happy to show you around and you can meet the animals. If not, that's fine too.

You can walk straight from the door along the brook. Dolforwyn Castle is a couple of miles away. It's a Welsh castle from the 1200s, run by Cadw. Good views from up there.

Newtown is three miles south for shops. Powis Castle and Garden is about a 25 minute drive. That's National Trust. The Kerry Ridgeway is close by for walking or mountain biking. The coast is about an hour.

Bedding and towels are included. Electricity is included. No pets.
