The Granary is in Llandyssil. It's a converted barn on the edge of the village. The setting is rural. You get views over the fields.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's a 4 Star place. We've tried to make it comfortable but it's not a show home. There are wooden beams. The stairs to the first floor are typical for a conversion, so they're a bit steep.
One bedroom is on the ground floor. That bathroom has a shower. Upstairs, the main bedroom is in the eaves with sloping ceilings, and there's a second bathroom with a freestanding bath.
The kitchen is open-plan with a dining table and a sofa area. There's an electric fire. Outside, there's an enclosed garden with a patio and a hot tub.
Llandyssil itself is quiet. There's a local pub within walking distance. For a shop or more places to eat, you'd drive to Montgomery. That's about three miles. Montgomery Castle is worth a look if you like ruins.
You're well placed for getting out. The Shropshire Hills are just over the border. The National Trust has a few properties nearby, like Powis Castle. For walking information, the Visit Mid Wales site is useful.
In terms of things to do within half an hour, Newtown has a textile museum and a gallery. Further into Shropshire, Carding Mill Valley is good for a family walk.
As for facilities, it's all there. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. Parking for two cars. We allow up to two dogs.
