The Ramparts
The Ramparts is in Montgomery. It's that big, detached stone house you see on the hill as you come into town from the Welshpool side. It's listed, so it's old and solid, with thick walls.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms upstairs: one double, one with two singles, and one with bunk beds. There's one bathroom with a shower over the bath. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well kept. You can bring one dog.
You come in through a porch, which is good for boots. The living room is a good size, with a sofa and a Smart TV. The kitchen has what you need: a dishwasher, washing machine, that sort of thing. The garden is large and enclosed, mostly lawn, with some furniture. You can store bikes.
You're right on the edge of town, so it's quiet, but you can walk to the pub and the shops in a few minutes. The Offa's Dyke Path is practically on the doorstep if you want a walk. For a day out, the Welshpool & Llanfair Steam Railway is a nice trip.
There are a few National Trust places within half an hour. Powis Castle is the big one, and then there's Chirk Castle and Erddig. Shrewsbury is about 30 minutes by car if you want a proper town with shops. The coast is about an hour, but Lake Vyrnwy is closer for water.
Everything's included: bedding, towels, WiFi, the electricity. It's set up for Christmas, too, if you're here then.
