The Ramparts is a big, detached cottage in Montgomery. It's listed, Grade Two. It's on the edge of town, up a bit of a hill, so you get a view over the place.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms upstairs: one double, one with two singles, and one with bunk beds. There's one bathroom with a shower over the bath. It's got a 4 Star rating. You can bring one dog.
The garden is large, enclosed, and mostly lawn. There's space to sit out and a place to store bikes. You come in through a porch, which is handy for boots and coats.
Inside, there's a living room with a Smart TV and a kitchen with a dishwasher and washing machine. The Wi-Fi works. All bedding and towels are included.
Montgomery is a five minute walk down the hill. There's a couple of shops, a few pubs, and a good butcher. The Offa's Dyke Path runs close by if you want to walk from the door.
For a day out, Powis Castle is near Welshpool, about a twenty minute drive. The Welshpool & Llanfair Steam Railway is there too. Lake Vyrnwy is about half an hour away for a walk or a cycle.
Shrewsbury is 30 minutes by car if you want more shops or a cinema. The coast is further, about an hour and a half to the west.
