Welshpool and Oswestry are the nearest market towns, a short drive away. Shrewsbury is about 30 minutes by car. For National Trust properties, Powis Castle is very close, and Chirk Castle and Attingham Park are within range.
A quick note: please don't charge electric vehicles at the house. There are charging points a couple of miles away at Tesco and in the main town car park.
