Powis Castle View Fron

Powis Castle View is a bungalow on the edge of Fron, near Welshpool. It's detached, on the grounds of Edderton Hall. We live in the main house. You get the place to yourselves.

It sleeps four in two bedrooms. One has a super king bed that can be made into twins, the other has twin beds. There's one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable.

The main room is open plan. The big windows look out over our garden and fields towards Powis Castle. You can see it from the decking. The deck is a good spot in the evening.

There's a hot tub on the deck. We provide robes and towels for it. Please don't charge electric cars at the property. There are public points at Tesco in Welshpool, about two miles away.

The property is all on one level. There are public footpaths from the gate if you want to walk straight out. A pub that does food is about half a mile down the lane. The nearest shop is in Welshpool.

It's a good spot for dogs. We allow two. The garden is enclosed but it's not totally escape-proof if you have a real houdini.

Welshpool has the main shops and the station for the Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway. Powis Castle is the obvious one to visit. The Forestry England sites like Bwlch Nant yr Arian are great for walks, about a 30 minute drive. The Shropshire Hills and Snowdonia are both within an hour if you want to go further.

For facilities: there's parking, wifi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We have a cot and highchair if you need them.
