Powis Castle View is a bungalow in Fron, near Welshpool. It's on the grounds of Edderton Hall, where we live, but it's detached and all yours. It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. One has a big bed that can be two singles, the other has twin beds. There's one bathroom with a shower.
It's got a 5 Star rating. That means it's well-equipped and kept to a high standard. It's all on one level, which people find easy. The main room is open-plan and looks out over the garden and fields. The view of Powis Castle is out the front. You can sit on the decking there. It's a good spot in the evening.
The hot tub is on the decking. We provide robes and towels for it. A couple of things to mention: the property is near our house, so you'll see us coming and going sometimes. Also, you can't charge an electric vehicle here. There are points at Tesco in Welshpool, about two miles away.
You can walk straight from the door. Public footpaths go through the fields and woods. The local pub is about half a mile down the lane. It does food. The nearest shop is in Welshpool, two and a half miles.
Welshpool has the main shops and the station for the Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway. Powis Castle is the big attraction, obviously. It's a National Trust place. Well worth a visit. National Trust Powis Castle.
Further out, you've got Lake Vyrnwy, about half an hour's drive west. It's good for walking and cycling. The Shropshire Hills are to the east, also within half an hour.
In terms of what's here: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. The garden is enclosed. We accept up to two dogs.
