Top House is in Forden, Powys. It's an end-terrace cottage, set back from the road a bit.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, all with their own bathroom. That's useful. It's got a 4 Star rating. The kitchen has a Rayburn, which is a solid old cooker, and an electric hob and oven. The living room has a wood burner. There's a patio and a garden at the back, it's private.
The stairs are normal. Some of the doorways are a bit low, so mind your head if you're tall. The floors are slate in places.
There's a village pub a few hundred yards away. Check their opening hours. Another pub, The Railway, is about a mile and a half away at the other end of the village.
Montgomery is a few miles away. It's a nice old town with a castle. Welshpool is about the same distance, that's where you'll find bigger shops. The area is good for walking. The National Trust has a few places nearby, like Powis Castle.
If you drive about half an hour, you can get to the Shropshire Hills. Church Stretton is nice. Further on, about forty minutes, you get to Ludlow. It's a proper market town with a castle and good food shops. The coast at Aberdyfi is about an hour away.
Facilities: there's parking, WiFi, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.
