The Cottage
The Cottage is in Montgomery, up on the hill. It used to be a pub, so the rooms are a good size. It's detached. You get an enclosed garden and your own hot tub.
It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, three bathrooms. It's a 5 Star place, which means it's well finished and comfortable. The views from the front are really nice, out over the town and the hills.
Montgomery Castle is just up the road, maybe a five minute walk. The Offa's Dyke path runs close by if you want a proper walk. The town itself has a couple of shops, a cafe, and a few pubs.
A 30 minute drive gets you to a few things. Shrewsbury is that way for a bigger town with shops and history. Welshpool has the Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway. There are several National Trust places within range, like Powis Castle and Chirk Castle.
Further out, maybe 40 minutes, you've got Lake Vyrnwy for walking and Bala Lake for watersports. The coast is about an hour away.
Inside, it's open plan downstairs with a wood burner. There's a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is on site. You can bring up to two dogs.
