Celyn is in Weston Madoc, near Welshpool in Powys. It's a detached stone house that sleeps sixteen. Seven bedrooms, five bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's a big, solid place, good for a group.
The garden is enclosed, which is handy. There's a games room and an outdoor swimming pool. Parking is on site.
There are some things to know. The stairs are a feature. They're open in places, steep in places, and some are narrow or spiral. Just be aware if you've got very small children or anyone unsteady on their feet.
You can bring up to two dogs. We include bedding and towels. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, a cot and highchair if you need them.
The shop and the nearest pubs are about a mile and a quarter away. They're in the village.
For things to do, you're right near the Offa's Dyke Path. Powys Castle is very close, it's a National Trust property. There are a few other Trust houses like Chirk Castle and Attingham Park within about three quarters of an hour's drive.
Locally there's the Welshpool and Llanfair steam railway and the Montgomery Canal. Lake Vyrnwy is about half an hour away for walking. If you want activities, you can find quad biking or horse riding nearby. For water sports, Bala Lake or Llangollen are maybe forty minutes.
Shrewsbury is a nice historic town, about thirty minutes by car. The west Wales coast is about an hour's drive if you fancy a day at the sea.
