Avon Lodge is a new, detached lodge on our family-run caravan park. The park is adult only and set in seven acres, out near Snead. You're about halfway between Bishop's Castle and Welshpool.
It sleeps three. There's one double bedroom and one single. The bathroom has a shower. Everything's modern and clean, with a 4 Star rating. The kitchen has what you need. The living room doors open straight onto a deck with furniture.
The park is quiet. You'll see other guests around, but you can keep to yourself if you prefer. The views are over the Shropshire countryside.
For basics, Churchstoke is two miles down the road. They've got a decent Co-op, a butchers, a post office and a petrol station. Bishop's Castle, about four miles, has good independent shops and a couple of micro-breweries.
It's a good spot for walking. The Long Mynd and Stiperstones are close by. The Shropshire Hills AONB site has route ideas.
If you want to fish, the River Severn and the Montgomery Canal are nearby, but you'll need a club permit. For a day out, Stokesay Castle near Craven Arms is worth seeing. Ludlow's about half an hour's drive for the castle and the food shops. Further afield, Ironbridge and its museums are within an hour.
Facilities include WiFi, a TV, all bedding and towels, and parking right outside. We allow up to two well-behaved dogs. The decking and garden are yours to use.
