Avon Lodge

Avon Lodge is a self-contained lodge on Daisy Bank Caravan Park. It's near Snead, so you're right on the Shropshire-Powys border. The park is adults only and family-run, in about seven acres of fields.

The lodge sleeps three. Two bedrooms, one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. The kitchen and living area are open plan, and there are patio doors out to a deck. There's outdoor furniture there.

It's a caravan park, so there are other lodges and caravans nearby. It's generally quiet, but you're not completely isolated. The parking is right by the lodge.

The location is good for getting around. Churchstoke village is two miles away. It's got a Co-op supermarket, a butchers, a petrol station and a post office. Bishops Castle is a few miles the other way. It's a small town with interesting shops and a couple of local breweries.

For places to visit, you're quite central. Welshpool and the Powis Castle estate are about a twenty minute drive. The National Trust site is the main thing there. Church Stretton and the Long Mynd are good for walking, maybe half an hour away. Further afield, you can get to Ludlow or Shrewsbury in under an hour.

The facilities are what you'd expect. There's a TV, WiFi, a shower, and all bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. The utilities are all part of the price.
