The Larches is a log cabin up on the Kerry Ridgeway in Cwm, Powys. It's detached and very private, set back from the track. The views are the main thing. You can see right across to the Shropshire Hills.
It sleeps four, two bedrooms and each has its own bathroom. It's a 4 Star place. We put in things like a wood pellet stove and solar panels. It's warm and runs fairly lightly.
There's a hot tub on the deck. We keep it clean. At night, there's no light pollution so the stars are good.
Inside, it's all on one level and the doorways are wide, so it's suitable for a wheelchair. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. On-site parking.
Bishop's Castle is about five miles down the hill. It's a small market town with a couple of breweries, shops, and places to eat. The countryside around here is quiet. Good for walking, cycling, or horse riding if you arrange it locally.
For a bigger day out, Ludlow is about half an hour's drive. Shrewsbury is similar. You're right on the Welsh border here.
