Colstey Farmhouse

Colstey Farmhouse is a big place out at Argoed, on our farm. It sleeps sixteen people, which is why it's got eight bedrooms and five bathrooms. It's a four star place, so it's comfortable and well looked after.

It's a detached farmhouse over four floors. The stairs are typical old farmhouse stairs. You go up and down a lot.

The main kitchen is big, with a table for breakfast. There's a second kitchen downstairs, useful if you've got a big group and people are cooking at different times. The utility room is good for boots and coats. On the ground floor there's a double bedroom, a living room, and a dining room.

Up on the first floor are six double bedrooms. Three have their own ensuite shower rooms. There's also a family bathroom with a bath and a separate shower cubicle. On the top floor there's a twin bedroom and a small snug area.

Outside, there's a private garden with a patio and a lawn. The views are over the fields here. There's a private hot tub. There's also a BBQ hut with benches for sixteen and a charcoal barbecue.

You can park on the private driveway at the back. The property is wheelchair accessible at the entrance.

You're in the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. You can start walks right from the door. The Stiperstones, Clee Hills and Wenlock Edge are all good for circular walks.

Ludlow, Shrewsbury and Ironbridge are all within easy reach for shops and restaurants. Church Stretton and Much Wenlock are smaller towns nearby with nice individual shops and pubs. For days out, the National Trust properties are worth a visit: Croft Castle, Powis Castle, and Berrington Hall.

Included in the price: all bedding and towels, electricity, Wi-Fi. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, woodburning stove, cot and highchair. We don't allow pets sorry.

If you have an even bigger group, you can book the place next door, The Stables, as well. Together they sleep twenty.
