Upper Broughton Farm Cottage

Upper Broughton Farm Cottage is on our working farm at Bankshead. We're in the next house over, if you need anything. The views are just fields and hills.

It sleeps five. There are two bedrooms upstairs. One has a big double bed, the other has a double and a single together, which is handy for a family. One bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well looked after.

Inside, it's open plan downstairs. Kitchen, table, sofas, all in one room. There's a separate utility room with the washing machine and a door out to a little patio. The stairs are normal, but watch your head on the beams if you're tall.

You're welcome to bring dogs, up to two.

Bishop's Castle is the nearest town, about two miles down the road. It's a proper small market town. There's a Co-op for groceries, a few pubs that do food, and a couple of takeaways. They've got a leisure centre with a pool. If you need a big supermarket or a cinema, you're looking at a twenty mile drive to Shrewsbury or Ludlow.

From here, you're right in the Shropshire Hills. Good walking straight from the door. The Long Mynd and Stiperstones are about a twenty minute drive. For a day out, Stokesay Castle is a nice ruin, or you can go to Powis Castle over the border in Wales. Both are National Trust.

Facilities included: parking right outside, WiFi, TV, dishwasher, washing machine, all bedding and towels. Everything runs on electricity.
