Upper Broughton Farm Cottage is on our farm in Bankshead. It's attached to our house, but you've got your own front door and it's completely separate. We're a working farm, so you'll see sheep in the fields and hear the usual farm noises.
It sleeps five. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom. The main bedroom has a big bed. The second room has a double and a single, which is handy for a family. They've both got the original fireplaces. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's a farm cottage, so it's comfortable and clean, not a show home.
Inside, it's open plan downstairs. Kitchen, table, and sitting area all in one room. There's a utility room off it with the washing machine and a door to the patio. The stairs are a normal steepness for an old place.
Outside, there's a small patio with a table and chairs. The main garden is a big shared lawn that runs down from our house, which you're welcome to use. It looks out over the fields.
You're right in the middle of the countryside here. Bishop's Castle is about two miles away. It's a proper little market town with pubs, shops, and a brewery. For walking, you're on the edge of the Shropshire Hills. The Long Mynd is about a 20 minute drive. Ludlow is maybe half an hour, if you want a bigger town with a castle and good food.
Facilities are all there: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking right outside.
