Hope Hideaway
Hope Hideaway is a cabin for two, just outside Hope village. It's detached, on its own bit of land. The views over the fields are the main thing.
It's a 5 Star place, which means it's been finished to a high spec. Underfloor heating, a big walk-in shower, that sort of thing. The bed is up on a mezzanine level, so you get the view from there too. The stairs up to it are more like a ship's ladder, just so you know. It's fine, but something to be aware of.
There's a wood burner and the bifold doors open right out onto the patio. The hot tub is out there. You can charge an electric car if you need to.
For shops and pubs, you'll need to drive. Welshpool is about two miles away. It has supermarkets and a few places to eat. The market there on a Monday is decent. Oswestry and Shrewsbury are within half an hour if you want more choice.
If you like walking, you're in a good spot. The Llanymynech Rocks are close by. The Shropshire Hills AONB and Offa's Dyke path are easy to get to. For a big day out, Snowdonia is about an hour and a half's drive.
Some useful links if you're planning: Powys Castle, Attingham Park, and Chirk Castle are all within a reasonable drive.
Facilities: it's got WiFi, a smart TV, a dishwasher, and bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. No pets, I'm afraid.
