Old Upper Gwestydd is near Cefn Mawr, between Newtown and Welshpool. It's a detached stone house, up a farm track. You're on your own up there, just fields and the orchard next door. The views are good, just fields and hills.
It sleeps eight in four bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating. That means it's well kept and has everything you'd need. It's a proper family house, not a show home. The games room is in a converted outbuilding, it's got a pool table and some toys for wet days.
You can take two dogs. The garden is enclosed, mostly. There's an orchard you can walk around. The hot tub is there, on the patio.
Newtown is about two miles for shops and supermarkets. There's a golf course a few minutes drive away. For a longer trip, the coast at Aberystwyth is just over an hour. Powis Castle is about half an hour's drive and is worth a visit.
The facilities are all there: wifi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking for a few cars. It has a wood burner for winter.
