Rhiew Banc
Rhiew Banc is a detached house on a quiet road near Newtown. It’s next to a chicken farm, so you’ll see and hear chickens sometimes. I like watching them.
It sleeps eight. Four bedrooms, three bathrooms. Two bedrooms have their own showers. It’s got a 5 Star rating, which means it’s comfortable and well kept.
The kitchen is big and open plan, and it leads into a large conservatory. You can sit in there and look out over the garden and the fields. The living room has a wood burner and good views. It also leads into a cinema room with a big screen.
There’s a games room downstairs. The garden is enclosed, with a patio, lawned area, and a hot tub.
The shop, pub, and restaurant are about four miles away in Newtown. Newtown has a normal range of shops and places to eat. You might want to visit Powis Castle, which is run by the National Trust. It's a good day out.
The coast is about an hour’s drive away, towards Aberystwyth or the Dyfi estuary. For walking, you’re close to the Cambrian Mountains. The Mid Wales tourism site has ideas.
Facilities: it’s got everything on the list – washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, bedding and towels included. There's plenty of parking. You can bring up to two dogs.
